Anybody use eBay here? It is definately the best place to go online if you want to buy or sell something. It has the largest amount of members, the fees are pretty low, and it's fun to find people who sell odd items. One time I sold my friend's tooth for $15! I don't know why people even try to compete with eBay... nothing will ever beat it.

It`s unbeatable because of it`s reputation. Everybody knows it, everybody sells and buys there. But if anything should ever happen and e-bay would somehow loose reputation, other sites stand a change.
And I don't think they all try to compete with e-bay, I just think they are exploiting a business area that is profitable. It's true they don't make as much money, but they make a some and because of such competition e-bay is at such high standards.

I have never used it myself, but I know people who use it.

I know someone who sold all his old Nintendo 8-bit games there. Made some good money off of them too.

What do you mean what do we buy?
We can buy, or sell anything at all! Whatever crosses your mind.
Like now, since christmas is almost here, i will try and find some *unique* presents... and they will be cheaper too... I was thinking of something like old decorrations, or pens many years old...i'll have a look and see what i can find :D

I bought once some music CDs and another time a fluffy decorative pillow that i liked... but i never sold anything there, i mean i didn't even try to sell stuff.

There is a store near here called "I sold it on E-bay!", thats the exact name of the store.

You take your stuff in, they take pictures and stuff and post it on Ebay, sell it and give you the money they made, minus their percentage.

Just like the store the girl had in the movie 40 Year Old Virgin. I think thats where they got the idea.

When I saw the movie I didn't think that kind of a store would acctualy be succesful in real life.. but if you say they are opened for buissnes then they must have some customers. I for one would sell my own stuff out there on the net, it's more comfortable than going to a store..but i can see the advatages if yo usay they give the money once they sold it, I mean you get them sooner and you don't have to lose time selling anything...
cool idea anyway.
